22.5 hours per week over 3 days with some evening work required.
£16,543 per annum
An exciting opportunity to work as part of the Just ‘B’ Children and Young People (CYP) Team providing a variety of bereavement, psychological and emotional support to children and young people in a school setting through face to face, telephone/digital or group work throughout the Harrogate, Hambleton & Richmondshire districts.
We are looking for a confident, experienced worker with CYPs of all ages. Having a creative and flexible approach with a proven track record in proving psychological and emotional support, working within safeguarding procedures and alongside other agencies.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a school setting, having gained a professional qualification or registration in social work, teaching or counselling. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, with an understanding of volunteering and the ability to provide supervision to volunteers.
Collaborative working skills are essential to this role, as are being adaptable to change, and an ability to manage stress and distress in self and others. A willingness to travel throughout the district with access to your own vehicle is essential.
This role is 22.5 hours per week over three days with the possibility of extra bank hours also being available.
This role is partly funded by BBC Children in Need.
