Harrogate Mumbler Champion Nic and her eldest daughter Cici (7) were sent a copy of The Week Junior to review. It looks like the whole family enjoyed it, here’s what they thought:
“We loved having the opportunity to review ‘The Week Junior’ this week. This is an amazing magazine aimed at children Cici’s age.
There was something for everybody. Cici (7) loved reading about the history around the Falklands Island conflict as well as the brilliant dolphins using coral as medicine, whilst Bran (5) was intrigued by the Bearded Dragon who got his head stuck in a pineapple. There was even something for Raffy too (age 3) who loved hearing about Monster Jam – real life monster truck drivers honing their skills at “Monster Jam University” in Illinois.
We had a good go at the puzzle page. The spot the difference was pretty straightforward but the crossword provided a great challenge for Cici.
Overall Cici said she loved the variety of things to read about and the colourful pictures whereas Bran enjoyed the quiz and the photos of the week.
So if you’re looking for a different reading genre to engage your child we would say definitely give this a go! It provides an interesting and refreshing change from the usual reading books sent home from school.”
