There is a giant walk-in beehive where you will see what it looks like in a hive from a honeybee’s point of view. Platinum Jubilee Weekend

In 2022, we’ll be celebrating at RHS Garden Harlow Carr as Her Majesty The Queen becomes the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee – 70 years of service – having acceded to the throne on 6 February 1952 at the age of 25.

Giving the opportunity for communities and people throughout the UK to come together, join us over the extended bank holiday weekend, from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June, for live brass bands in the garden to commemorate this historic milestone.

Live music will be playing in the garden between 1pm to 4pm. Here are the bands that will be joining us on the following days:

Performances from 1pm to 4pm

  • Thursday 2 June: Take 2 Big Band

Jubilee Crafts

Get your craft on at home this half term and decorate, ready for the Platinum Jubilee!

1) Download our special colouring sheet below 👇🏼

Download your Mumbler Jubilee Flag HERE

When you’ve finished, stick them in your windows or make flags!

2) Make some home-made bunting!
This is one that any age children (or adults!) can get involved in.
You just need some white paper, red and blue paint/pens/crayons, string and something to attach it with (think masking tape, sellotape, staples?)

Let them go to town with decorating, cut it into rough triangle shapes and attached it to your string!

3. Design and build a castle

You could use bricks, Lego, paper, cardboard, sand, playdough or anything else! Design you castle first then see who can build the best castle in your family.

4. Set up a crown trail

Download, print and colour these crown pictures as many times as you like, then set up a crown trail around your house or garden (or street, and get some friends involved!)

We would love to see pictures, don’t forgot to tag us if you share anything to social media!
