Birchfield Farm is home to cows, pigs and sheep which you can see grazing in the fields. As well as animals they grow strawberries, maize, pumpkins, sprouts and sweetcorn and usually run holiday events and activities. Ice cream, cold and hot food available from cafe.

Things to do/see: Great day out for little kids! With guinea pig handling, fluffy chicks, calves, donkeys, pigs, a tractor trailer ride & huge indoor sand pit. For the older ones try the outside go-kart track.

Lotherton is a very popular place attracting over 3/4 of a million visitors each year

It’s great! They have lots of play areas that your 2yr old would love and baby swings for your 10month old. Lovely to walk around for your dog. They’ve got a bird garden which is lovely to walk around but no dogs are allowed in there just so you’re aware. They house is lovely too but you can’t take a pram around it

Things to do/see: Llama trekking aimed at adults and older kids ( 7 – 10 yrs can visit the farm. 10 – 12yrs can do the On Farm Trek. Children 12 yrs or over can do the Half Day or Full Day Treks). Booking required to visit. No babies or younger children allowed. Fun day out trekking with the llamas through the Nidderdale countryside.
